PARKING BRAKE

1. Start engine and move shift control selector lever into reverse position.

2. With vehicle moving in reverse, press and release brake pedal several times.

3. Move shift control selector lever into PARK position, then stop engine.

4. Remove parking brake console as follows:

a. Position both front seats to rear-most position, then remove front parking brake console screws.

b. Recline both front seats, then remove rear parking brake console screws.

c. Unbuckle safety belts, then, with parking brake control engaged, remove parking brake console.

5. Turn adjusting nut Fig 3, until parking brake control stroke is five to seven notches when pulled with 22 lbs of force.

6. Install parking brake console as follows:

a Feed safety belt ends through proper holes in parking brake console, then install parking brake console over parking brake control.

b. Install parking brake console screws, then return both seats to original positions.
