Fog/Driving Lamp: Description and Operation

Voltage is present at the coil and contacts of the Headlamp Relay at all times through the HEAD Fuse Link Cartridge.

With the Main Light Switch in the HEAD position, the Headlamp Relay coil is grounded and its contact close. With the Main Light Switch Dimmer Switch in the Lo beam position and the Fog Lamp Switch turned ON, current flows through the HEAD Fuse Link Cartridge, the Headlamp Relay Contacts, the Main Light Switch Dimmer Switch contacts, the Fog Lamp Switch contacts and the Fog Lamps to ground. The Fog Lamps turn on.

If the Dimmer Switch is moved to the Hi beam position or the Main Light Switch is moved to the OFF or PARK position, the Fog Lamps will shut off.
