Removal

Lateral Links and Trailing Link Removal

Rear Lateral / Trailing Link Removal:




1. Raise the vehicle.

2. Remove the rear wheel.

3. Remove the rear stabilizer bar as explained in this section.

4. Remove the cap covering the front and rear lateral link pivot bolts.

5. Position a floor jack stand under the rear suspension crossmember.

6. Remove the bolts securing the rear suspension crossmember to the vehicle frame.

7. Lower the floor jack stand to allow the rear suspension crossmember to be lowered from the vehicle frame.

8. Remove the front and rear lateral link pivot nut, washer and bolt from the rear suspension crossmember.

9. Remove the front and rear lateral links from the rear suspension crossmember.

10. Remove the bolt, washers and nut securing the front and rear lateral links to the rear wheel spindle.

11. Remove the front and rear lateral links.

12. Remove the nuts securing the parking brake cable and cable bracket to the trailing link.

13. Remove the rear trailing link bolts and washers from the vehicle frame and rear wheel spindle.

14. Remove the rear trailing link.
