Rear Wiper Motor

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Lift wiper arm attaching nut cover and remove nut, then pull wiper arm from pivot shaft.
3. Remove shaft seal from outer bushing attaching nut, then remove outer bushing attaching nut and outer bushing.
4. Remove liftgate trim panel as follows:
a. Remove three push-in retainers and hi-mount stop lamp cover.
b. Remove liftgate seaming welt from along trim panel, then disengage 10 retaining clips and remove trim panel.
c. Remove cargo area lamp.
5. Disconnect wiper motor electrical connector, then remove three wiper motor mounting bolts and wiper motor.
6. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Torque wiper motor mounting bolts to 61-87 inch lbs and outer bushing attaching nut to 35-52 inch lbs.
b. Turn wiper switch to the ON position and allow pivot shaft to move through three or four cycles, then turn wiper switch off.
c. Position wiper arm on pivot shaft so tip of blade is 0.79-0.98 inch from rear window molding.
d. Torque wiper arm attaching nut to 61-87 inch lbs.
