Backup Lamp: Description and Operation

The Backup Lamp System is powered by the 10A METER fuse of the Interior Fuse Panel and is hot with the Ignition Switch in the "RUN" position.

MANUAL TRANSAXLE (MTX)

When the manual transaxle is put into "REVERSE", current flows from the METER fuse through the closed Backup Lamp Switch to the Backup Lamps.

AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE (ATX)

When the automatic transaxle is put into "REVERSE", current flows from the METER fuse through the closed Neutral Safety/Backup Lamp Switch to the Backup Lamps.
