ISSUE:





A "grunt" noise may be heard after the steering wheel is released from full lock position during low speed or parking maneuvers. This occurs during a full locked right or left turn where contact is made between the end of the tension strut and the spindle. See Figure 1.

ACTION:





Install a rubber bumper on the threaded end of each tension strut to eliminate the "grunt" noise. See Figure 2 for proper installation.

NOTE:
PUSH THE RUBBER INSULATOR UNTIL IT SEATS ON THE NUT.
