AIR CONDITIONING - POOR OR INADEQUATE COOLING - CONDENSER TOP SEAL MISSING

ISSUE:
Poor or inadequate A/C cooling may be caused by a missing condenser top air seal. Vehicles with this condition may not have adequate air flow through the condenser, in high ambient temperatures, to condense the high pressure refrigerant properly.

ACTION:
Check for the presence of a condenser top air seal and, if missing, install one. Refer to the following procedure for service details.





1. Check for the presence of a condenser top air seal by feeling under the upper radiator support, in the area shown in Figure 1.

2. If the seal is missing, install a new condenser top air seal (E9SZ-8326-A).

a. Place it in the correct position, Figure 1.

b. Firmly engage the five (5) push pins in their respective holes in the mounting bracket, Figure 1.
