ACCUMULATOR CIRCUIT HOLE MISLOCATED - REWORK PROCEDURE

FORD:
1991-93 TAURUS

LINCOLN-MERCURY:
1991-93 CONTINENTAL, SABLE

ISSUE:
The AXODE air test plate must be reworked in order to air check the Neutral-Drive Accumulator circuit. The hole in the test plate marked "N-D Accumulator" is incorrectly located.





ACTION:
Use the following service procedure and template, Figure 1, to rework the test plate.

1. Place the template, Figure 1, over the test plate to locate the correct location for the N-D Accumulator hole.

2. Punch center hole location.

3. Drill a 3/16" (4.76 mm) hole in the test plate.

4. Scribe a new arrow and line from the N-D Accumulator call out on the test plate to the new hole in the test plate.

5. Cross out the old line that was pointing to the original hole.
