LINCOLN-MERCURY:
1993 SABLE

ISSUE:
Air conditioning and heater control knobs may separate due to the webbing on the rear face of the knob.

ACTION:
Replace the separated control knob with an improved knob. Refer to the following procedure for service details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Remove the existing separated control knob.

2. Wipe the shaft of the new control knob with a dry cloth to remove any excess lubricant (excess lubricant on the shaft may contribute to breakage).

3. Install the new control knob on the vehicle.
