The console mounted transmission control selector dial bezel may bind, causing the indicator operating pin to separate, unconnect or move past the indicator attachment. If this happens, the indicator may not show the gear position that the shift lever is in. This condition may be caused by inadequate lubrication of the underside of the shifter bezel assembly.
