Program Terms
Affected cars are eligible for this program through six-months from the date of the owner letter.

Affected Vehicles
Certain 1992, 1993 and 1994 Taurus and Sable cars equipped with 3.0L engine (does not include 3.0L SHO engines).

Reason For This Program
The heater to engine coolant bypass hose may crack resulting in coolant loss. Loss of coolant could result in engine overheating and possible engine damage which may not be immediately evident to the driver.

Service Action
Owner will be notified and asked to return their cars for replacement of the bypass hose.

Refunds
Only for owner-paid repairs made before the date of the Owner Letter (or after the date of the Owner Letter if an emergency repair was made prior to completion of this repair procedure, away from the selling dealer and within the program guidelines).
