Courtesy Lamp: Description and Operation

OPERATION
Voltage is applied, at all times, through Fuse 8 to the I/P Dimming Rheostat, Front and Rear Door Jamb Switches, and various other switches for individual lamps.

If the I/P Dimming Rheostat knob is turned fully "ON", or if a door is opened, current flows through the I/P courtesy Lamps, the console Courtesy Lamp, the Cargo Lamps (Station wagon), the Dome Lamp, the Left and Right Door Lamps, and B-Pillar Lamps (with Moonroof).

Several lamps are equipped with individual switches, which allow operation without turning on all of the courtesy lamps.
