Illuminated Entry

PURPOSE
The illuminated entry system powers solid state lamps in the front door key lock cylinders and courtesy lamps when the outside door handles are raised.

OPERATION
Lifting either front door handle causes the illuminated entry module to send a current from Fuse 8 to the courtesy and lock lamps.

The module will turn the lamps off in about 25 seconds (or if the ignition switch is turned to "RUN" before 25 seconds elapse).

When the door is opened, the courtesy lamps are powered through the door jamb switch.
