ISSUE:
Charts have now been developed to assist in identifying vehicle applications that contain Deposit Resistant Injectors (DRI'S).

ACTION:








Deposit Resistant Injectors on 1990-1992 vehicle applications can be identified by the color of the fuel injector body. DRI part numbers (-9F593-) begin with "F" with the exception of the 4.0L engine applications. Refer to Figure 1. All 1993 model year applications contain DRI's with exception of the 4.0L Aerostar. Refer to Figure 2.

CLEANING OF DEPOSIT RESISTANT INJECTORS (DRI'S) IS NOT REIMBURSABLE UNDER WARRANTY.

NOTE:
CLEANING IS STILL ALLOWED ON 1993 4.0L AEROSTAR.
