- ABS Brake Controller Inspection

AFFECTED VEHICLES

Certain 1993 Model Taurus and Sable vehicles produced at the Chicago Assembly Plant on January 8, 1993.

REASONS FOR RECALL
Some of the affected vehicles may have been equipped with an incorrect ABS Brake Controller. Under certain conditions, in the ABS mode only, these vehicles may experience a momentary decrease in brake effectiveness. There is no effect on vehicle operation during normal braking.

To correct this condition, the ABS Brake Controller will be inspected and, if necessary, replaced.

RENTAL CARS

Ford Motor Company will pay costs (not to exceed $30 per day) associated with rental vehicles except fuel costs which will be at owner's expense.
