ISSUE:
The stop/tail lamp bulbs on 2-door vehicles may require replacement more often than is considered normal because of the filament's durability.

ACTION:
Replace the production installed # 2357 bulbs with # 1157 bulbs on both the right hand and/or left hand side as required on 2-door vehicles only. The # 1157 bulb has a longer life expectancy than the # 2357 bulb. Refer to the appropriate model year Service Manual, Section 17-01, for the removal and installation procedures.

THIS SUBSTITUTION IS ONLY AUTHORIZED FOR 2-DOOR TEMPO/TOPAZ VEHICLES. USE OF A # 1157 BULB IN PLACE OF A # 2357 BULB IN OTHER APPLICATIONS MAY RESULT IN UNACCEPTABLE LAMP PERFORMANCE.
