Wheel Bearing: Adjustments

1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove dust cover from hub. Remove wheel assembly, if necessary.
2. Remove cotter pin and nut retainer.
3. Back off adjusting nut 1 full turn.

Rear Wheel Bearing Assembly:

4. Torque adjusting nut to 17-25 ft lb while rotating drum assembly.
5. Back off adjusting nut 1/2 turn, then retighten adjusting nut to 10-15 in lb. Position adjusting nut retainer over nut so slots are aligned with cotter pin hole, then install cotter pin.
6. Install dust cover and wheel assembly and lower vehicle to ground.
