ISSUE:
A clutch release bearing service kit is now available to eliminate the need to replace the clutch housing when the clutch release bearing quill is worn.

ACTION:
When replacing the clutch release bearing, install the steel bushing provided in the clutch release bearing service kit on the clutch housing over the bearing quill. This eliminates the need to replace the clutch housing. Refer to Instruction Sheet # 6363 which is included in the kit for installation details.


The clutch release bearing service kit (F2DZ-7548-B) includes the following items:

^ One (1) steel bushing (sleeve)

^ One (1) Instruction Sheet # 6363

It is designed to service the following vehicles:

^ 1988-1990 Escort with MTX II or MTX III

^ 1988-1993 Tempo, Topaz with MTX III or MTX IV

^ 1989-1993 Taurus SHO with MTX IV
