2.3L HSC (1988-94)

1. Disconnect the electric connector and remove the existing PFE sensor and hose only, located on the dash panel with the vacuum tree.





a. Do not remove the vacuum tree bracket (Figure 1).





b. The appropriate new PFE bracket is supplied with the appropriate large port service PFE sensor assembly (Figure 2).

2. Install the appropriate large port service assembly (sensor, bracket and hose) in the new location on the intake manifold. Attach the bracket with the existing bolt (Figure 2). Torque bolt to 20-30 N.m (15-22 lb-ft).

3. Install the PFE sensor hose to the EGR tube with the clamp provided.

4. Connect the electrical connector to the new PFE sensor.

5. Clear DTC from Continuous Memory.

6. Re-run Self Test and verify that pass codes are received in KOEO, KOER and continuous.
