Clutch: Adjustments

ADJUSTMENT

CAUTION: Lift clutch pedal to the uppermost position when connecting or disconnecting the clutch cable. Whenever the clutch cable is disconnected for any reason, such as transmission removal or clutch, clutch pedal components, or clutch cable replacement, it is important that the proper method for installing the clutch cable be followed. Under no circumstances should a prying instrument such as a screwdriver or a pry bar be used to install the cable into the quadrant.

Clutch Linkage:

The cable operated clutch control system is self adjusting and periodic adjustments are not required. If the clutch cable is replaced for any reason, an initial adjustment is performed by pulling the clutch pedal to its full upward position.
