This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to correct the part number.
ISSUE:
Inoperative air conditioning may be caused by the A/C high pressure cut-off switch wiring rubbing against the steel suction hose during engine vibration. This may be caused by the position of the A/C high pressure cut-off switch tap in the A/C manifold and hose assembly, Figure 1.
ACTION:
Replace the manifold and hose assembly with a revised assembly which positions the switch wiring away from the steel suction line. Refer to the 1994 Thunderbird/Cougar Service Manual, Section 12-03A-36, for removal and installation procedures
NOTE:
REMOVE REFRIGERANT FROM THE SYSTEM WITH A RECYCLING MACHINE SUCH AS THE ROTUNDA R-134a A/C SERVICE CENTER 176-00001 OR EQUIVALENT.
CAUTION:
USE EXTREME CAUTION AND OBSERVE ALL SAFETY AND SERVICE PRECAUTIONS RELATED TO THE USE OF REFRIGERANTS.
