^ NOISE - "TICKING" FROM FUEL INJECTORS AT AN IDLE - VEHICLES WITH 4.6L ENGINES

FORD:
1994 THUNDERBIRD

LINCOLN-MERCURY:
1994 COUGAR

ISSUE:
Some vehicles may exhibit a "ticking" noise from the fuel injectors at an idle. This may be caused by injector noise being transmitted through the fuel line due to the material being used in the fuel rail.

ACTION:
Remove the existing fuel line assembly and replace it with a new improved design. The new fuel line uses a new material which will dampen the fuel injector noise. Refer to the 1994 Thunderbird/Cougar Service Manual, Page 10-01-10, for removal and installation procedures.
