This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to correct the part table applications.

ISSUE:
A "moan" from the A/C compressor may be heard at idle with the A/C on. This may be caused by the resonant frequency of the A/C compressor combining with various other engine component frequencies to create the moan. This condition is more pronounced in ambient temperatures exceeding 27°C (80°F).

ACTION:
Install a larger diameter A/C compressor clutch and pulley. The larger diameter eliminates the resonant frequency from the idle rpm range and should reduce the possibility of a moan. Refer to the procedure outlined in the appropriate model/year Service Manual, Section 12.
