Oil Pump

Removal

1. If necessary, remove oil bypass filter (oil filter).
2. Remove oil pump and filter body to engine front cover retaining bolts and remove oil pump and filter body from engine front cover.
3. Inspect oil pump body seal (6C639) for distortion and wear.
Replace if necessary.

Oil Filter And Oil Pump:

Installation

1. Position oil pump and filter body on engine front cover and install retaining bolts.
2. Tighten four large engine front cover retaining bolts to 23-32 Nm (17-23 ft-lbs).
Tighten two remaining retaining bolts to 8-11 Nm (6-8 ft-lbs).
3. If removed, reinstall oil bypass filter (oil filter).
