KP - Testing Notes
NOTE: You should enter this Pinpoint Test only when you have been directed here from Diagnostic Routines.The Octane Adjust (OCT ADJ) shorting bar is similar to the SPOUT (Spark Output) in-line connector. On some applications, the Power Steering Pressure circuit will also have a similarly shaped shorting bar connector. DO NOT remove the shorting bar unless you have been directed by a specific application or technical service bulletin.
REMEMBER: This Pinpoint Test is intended to diagnose only the following:
- Harness circuits: SIG RTN, Octane Adjust (OCT ADJ)
- Octane shorting bar connector
