TA9 - Check PNP Switch

- Key "OFF".

- Breakout box installed, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disconnected.

- Locate the Park Neutral Position (PNP) switch.

- Disconnect vehicle harness from the PNP switch and measure resistance across the switch.

- Is resistance less than 5.0 ohms?

Yes -- Service open in vehicle harness PNP circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Replace PNP switch. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
