Pressure Plate: Service and Repair
1. Remove transaxle from vehicle.2. Loosen pressure plate cover attaching bolts evenly to avoid distorting cover. If same pressure plate and cover are to be installed, mark cover and flywheel so pressure plate can be installed in original position.

3. Remove pressure plate and clutch disc from flywheel.
4. Position clutch disc and pressure plate onto flywheel with flatter side of clutch disc facing toward flywheel.
5. Ensure three dowel pins on flywheel are aligned with dowel pins on pressure plate.
6. Snugly tighten cover attaching bolts, then align clutch disc using clutch aligner tool T81P-7550A, or equivalent, and tighten to 12-24 ft lb.
7. Remove alignment tool, then install transaxle.
