KB6 - Check For Vacuum to CANP Valve Input Port

- Key "ON", engine running.

- Canister Purge (CANP) valve connected.

- Place finger on vacuum hose end that attaches to the input port of the CANP valve.

- Is vacuum present at vacuum hose end?

Yes -- Reconnect CANP input port vacuum hose. Electronic Engine Controls (EEC) system is OK. Refer to Emission Control Systems/Testing and Inspection.

No -- Check CANP valve input port vacuum hose for proper routing, kinks, leaks or blockage.
