Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair

CAUTION: Whenever a refrigerant line is replaced, it is also necessary to replace the suction accumulator/drier.


REMOVAL
1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system at the low-pressure access gauge port valve located on the suction line near the suction accumulator/drier. Observe all safety precautions.
2. Disconnect and remove the refrigerant lines. At the condenser, use the disconnect procedure for the spring lock couplings.

INSTALLATION

Refrigerant Lines:






1. Route the new refrigerant line with the protective caps installed.
2. Connect the refrigerant line into the system using new O-rings lubricated with clean specified refrigerant oil.

CAUTION: Make sure the correct type O-rings are installed on the A/C fittings.

3. Leak test, evacuate, and charge the refrigerant system following the recommended service procedures. Observe safety precautions.
