Oil Pump

Removal

1. If necessary, remove oil bypass filter (oil filter).
2. Remove oil pump and filter body to engine front cover retaining bolts and remove oil pump and filter body from engine front cover.
3. Inspect oil pump body seal (6C639), oil pump and filter body and engine front cover for distortion and wear.
Replace components as necessary.

Installation

1. Position oil pump and filter body on engine front cover and install retaining bolts.
2. Tighten the small engine front cover retaining bolts to 8-11 Nm (71-97 lb-in).
Tighten the large retaining bolts to 23-32 Nm (17-23 lb-in).
3. If removed, reinstall oil bypass filter (oil filter).
