A24 VAPS Harness And Connectors Check (data Link Connector)
- Turn ignition switch to OFF.
- Doors and hood must be closed for proper readings.
- Disconnect VAPS harness connector from power steering variable assist control.
- Measure resistance between Pin 8, Circuit 606 (W/LB) of VAPS harness connector and Circuit 606 (W/LB) of data link connector.
Typical resistance is 2.0 Ohms or less.
- Measure voltage between Pin 8, Circuit 606 (W/LB) of VAPS harness connector and Circuit 606 (W/LB) of data link connector.
Typical voltage is less than 0.1 volt.
- Move leads to Pin 13, Circuit 200 (BR).
- Measure resistance between Pin 13, Circuit 200 (BR) of VAPS harness connector and Circuit 200 (BR) of data link connector.
Typical resistance is 2.0 Ohms or less.
- Measure voltage between Pin 13, Circuit 200 (BR) of VAPS harness connector and Circuit 200 (BR) of data link connector.
Typical voltage is less than 0.1 volt.
Is resistance and voltage near given values?
Yes
Go to A4. A4 - A11
No
