ISSUE:
As of December 20, 1994, the AX4S transaxle was built with a 25-tooth turbine shaft instead of a 23-tooth shaft. This 25-tooth turbine shaft requires a larger size O-ring seal (FOTZ-6749-B) (refer to Figure 1). This O-ring is not contained in the Seal and Gasket Kit (7153) or the Overhaul Kit (7C391).

ACTION:
If service is required to a transaxle containing a 25-tooth turbine shaft, service the turbine shaft O-ring with the larger O-ring (FOTZ-6749-B). Do not use the 23-tooth turbine shaft O-ring seal included with the seal and gasket, or the Overhaul Kit for a 25-tooth turbine shaft.
