LINCOLN-MERCURY:
1995-97 SABLE

ISSUE:
A design change has been made to the mounting of the air bag sliding contact. The previous design had three (3) screws and the new design has three (3) snaps.

ACTION:
When servicing an air bag sliding contact, the previous design and new design are interchangeable. Use the Service Procedure located in the appropriate year Taurus/Sable Service Manual, Section 11 when installing an air bag sliding contact. Snap the air bag sliding contact into the same three (3) places where the air bag sliding contact would have been screwed on. Be sure to remove the yellow pull ring once installation of the new design is complete.
