Cell Phone Hang-Up Cup Replacement Procedure

1. Open center console.

2. Position telephone handset out of console.

3. Detach handset from hang-up cup.





4. Refer to Figure 1 for Taurus, Sable, Town Car, 6-Passenger Continental and Explorers. Remove two (2) rubber plugs from cup, then remove two (2) retaining screws and remove cup from cradle and swivel assembly.





5. Refer to Figure 2 for 5-Passenger Continentals. Remove the cup and cradle insert assembly from the swivel. Turn assembly over and remove the two (2) screws securing the cradle insert to the cup and remove the cup.

6. Position the new hang-up cup to the cradle insert and install retaining screws.

7. Position new hang-up cup in cradle and swivel assembly (or cup and cradle insert assembly Continental models only) and install retaining screws and rubber plugs.

8. Place handset in hang-up cup and check operation of cup assembly.

9. Position handset in console.

10. Close console.
