Affected Cars are eligible for this program through June 30, 1996 regardless of mileage. (After June 30, 1996 a vehicle may be eligible for this service under applicable warranty coverage).

Affected Vehicles
Vehicles equipped with the cellular phone option described as follows:

- 1995-model Town Cars and Continentals built at the Wixom Assembly Plant November 1, 1994 through June 22, 1995,

- 1995-model Explorers built at Louisville Assembly Plant November 28, 1994 through June 26, 1995 and at the St. Louis Assembly Plant February 14, 1995 through June 28, 1995,

- 1995-model Taurus and Sables built at the Chicago Assembly Plant November 1, 1994 through June 21, 1995 and at the Atlanta Assembly Plant November 1, 1994 through June 22, 1995.

Reason For This Program
The push-button release on the hang-up cup assembly of the cellular phone may malfunction as a result of spring seat breakage in the release and button. This condition causes the handset to no longer be retained in the cup.

Service Action
Owners of affected vehicles will be asked to return their vehicles for replacement of the cellular phone hang-up assembly.

Refunds
Only for owner-paid repairs made before the date of the Owner Letter.
