Cruise Control Servo: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Pull speed control cable lever arm up and off, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove lefthand front wheel and front fender splash shield, then disconnect servo harness connector.
3. Remove speed control servo mounting screws and lower vehicle, then remove speed control cable cap by pressing cap locking arm and rotating cap counterclockwise.

INSTALLATION
1. Install servo to bracket and torque screws to 53-62 in lb.
2. Ensure rubber seal is snug against speed control actuator cable cap.
3. Lock speed control actuator cable ball slug into servo pulley slot, then pull throttle attachment end of control actuator cable to draw cable cap on to speed control servo pulley.
4. Install cap locking tabs into slots, then rotate cap clockwise until cap locking arm engages locking tab on servo.
5. Install cable and servo, then torque mounting screws to 47-63 in lb.
6. Attach harness connector to servo, install front fender splash shield and lefthand front wheel.
7. Adjust speed control cable.
8. Ensure throttle is at idle after speed control cable installation and adjustment.
