Air Induction System
The air induction system performs the following functions:- It provides clean air to the throttle body.
- Outside air enters from the air cleaner intake resonator through an opening in the front fender and then moves into the engine Air Cleaner (ACL).
- Once in the engine air cleaner, air is filtered through the air cleaner element.
- The filtered air travels through the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor to the air cleaner outlet tube, and into the throttle body.
Air induction noise is effectively eliminated by means of the following:
- The air cleaner intake resonator.
- A sealed and tuned resonance chamber created by the engine air cleaner.
