Clutch: Service and Repair

NOTE: Pump clutch pedal at least 30 times to ensure no air is in system.

1. Clean top and side of fluid reservoir to avoid fluid contamination.
2. Remove air cleaner outlet tube and mass air flow sensor assembly.
3. Attach suitable hose to bleeder valve at clutch slave cylinder, then submerge other end in suitable container of clean brake fluid.
4. Ensure clutch reservoir is full at all times. While depressing clutch, slightly open bleeder valve, then observe air bubbles in clutch fluid at end of hose.
5. Close bleeder valve before releasing clutch pedal.
6. Repeat previous steps, until no bubbles are indicated.
7. Top off fluid in brake master cylinder reservoir, then install diaphragm and reservoir cap.
8. Replace air cleaner outlet tube and mass airflow sensor assembly.
