Ball Joint: Testing and Inspection

Raise vehicle until wheels fall to a full down position. Grasp lower edge of tire and move wheel assembly in and out. As wheel is being moved, observe lower end of knuckle and lower control arm. Any movement would indicate abnormal ball joint wear. If movement is observed, replace lower control arm assembly.
