Clearing Trouble Codes

NOTE: Ford DOES NOT provide procedures to retrieve or clear trouble codes without the New Generation Star (NGS) tester.

After you have serviced all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and confirmed the vehicle functions properly, use the New Generation Star Tester to clear all DTCs from the anti-lock brake module keep alive random access memory. The anti-lock brake control module will automatically clear DTCs that have not recurred after 125 ignition cycles.
