Electronic Door Lock Control System














The electronic door lock control system consists of three main components:
- Driver door module.
- Four-button (hand-held) keyless entry remote transmitter.

The driver door module will perform these functions:
- Unlock driver door.
- Unlock all doors.
- Unlock luggage compartment door.
- Lock all doors.
- Automatically lock all doors when all doors are closed, the ignition switch is in RUN, someone is seated in the driver seat, and the transmission is shifted into any forward or reverse gear.
- Provide a signal to the lighting control module to:
+ Turn on interior lamps, keyless entry keypad and door lock cylinder illumination after any button on the keyless entry keypad is pushed.
+ Turn on interior lamps, and door lock cylinder illumination when using the keyless entry remote transmitter.
+ Activate and deactivate personal security feature which sounds horn and flashes park lamps.

The driver door module will also accept and store an alternate entry code. Either code will then operate the system.

The alarm and lock system antenna used in this system is part of the driver door module and can only be serviced by replacing the driver door module.

Inputs
The electronic door lock control system receives signals from the following:
- Transmission Range (TR) sensor.
- Ignition switch.
- Seat occupied switch.
- Door lock switches.
- Lighting control module (door ajar output).
- Keyless entry keypad.
- Keyless entry remote transmitters.

Output
The system sends output signals to the following:
- Keyless entry keypad illumination.
- Power door lock actuators.
- Luggage compartment door lock solenoid.
- Horn relay.
- Lighting control module.
