With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

NOTE: Ford DOES NOT provide procedures to retrieve or clear trouble codes without the New Generation Star (NGS) tester.

NOTE: There are no provisions for a flash-out code.

1. Connect the Rotunda New Generation Star (NGS) Tester or equivalent to the data link connector (DLC) located beneath the instrument panel to perform Data Link Diagnostics test.

2. Follow the scan tool prompts or refer to the scan tool operators manual for more information.

NOTE:
- If the NGS responds with NO RESPONSE/NOT EQUIPPED for the anti-lock brake module, go to Pinpoint Test A. A

- If the Data Link Diagnostics test is passed for the anti-lock brake control module, retrieve continuous Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and execute self test diagnostics for the anti-lock brake control module to retrieve current DTCs. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
