Wheel Hub: Description and Operation
^ The front wheel bearings are pregreased, sealed and require no scheduled maintenance. The front wheel bearings are preset and cannot be adjusted. If a bearing is disassembled for any reason, the wheel bearing assembly must be replaced.
^ Each front wheel is bolted to a wheel hub assembly. The wheel bearing is an integral part of the wheel hub assembly and is serviced as a wheel hub. A front axle wheel hub retainer and washer attach the wheel hub to the front wheel spindle assembly.
^ The front wheel bearings are of a wheel hub unit design and are pregreased, sealed and require no scheduled maintenance.
^ The wheel bearings are preset and cannot be adjusted. If a wheel bearing replacement is required for any service, the wheel hub must be replaced as an assembly.
^ The wheel bearings cannot be disassembled from the wheel hub and cannot be serviced separately.
^ No individual service seals, roller or races are available.
^ The front axle wheel hub retainer torque of 255-345 Nm (189-254 ft. lbs.) restricts wheel hub.
