Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories: Description and Operation
DESCRIPTIONA serpentine, multi-vee accessory drive belt (8620) is used to ensure maximum life. When replacing the accessory drive belt, it should be of the same type as originally installed.
TENSION
An automatic drive belt tensioner (6B209) is used and will not require any drive belt tension adjustment for the life of the accessory drive belt.
INSUFFICIENT TENSION
A loose drive belt will result in slippage which may cause a noise complaint or improper accessory operation. Operational problems, such as the generator not delivering proper charge may also result.
