Vehicle Damage Warnings
WARNING: THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY TO THE AIR RIDE CONTROL SYSTEM MUST BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO HOISTING, JACKING OR TOWING AN AIR RIDE CONTROL EQUIPPED VEHICLE. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY OR TURNING OFF THE AIR SUSPENSION SERVICE SWITCH LOCATED IN THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT ON THE LH SIDE. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN UNEXPECTED INFLATION OR DEFLATION OF THE AIR SPRINGS WHICH MAY RESULT IN SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE DURING THESE OPERATIONS.CAUTION:
Replacement Fasteners
Suspension fasteners are IMPORTANT attaching parts in that they could affect performance of vital components and systems, and/or could result in major service expense. They MUST be replaced with ones of the same part number or with equivalent parts if replacement becomes necessary. DO NOT use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design.
Fastener Tightening/Torque
Torque values must be as specified during assembly for proper retention of parts. New fasteners must be used whenever old fasteners are loosened or removed and when new components are installed.
Bending/Heating
Never attempt to heat, quench or straighten any suspension part. Replace with a new part.
NOTE:
Hoisting/Lifting
^ Incorrect hoisting can damage steering linkage components and front suspension components.
^ Before hoisting/lifting turn the air suspension switch (if equipped) OFF. It is located in LH side of luggage compartment. Be sure to turn ON when service is completed.
