Flow of Diagnosis
1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the power seat(s) to duplicate the condition.2. Inspect to determine if one of the mechanical or electrical concerns apply:
Mechanical
- Seat tracks obstructed.
- Seat at limit(s) of travel.
- Damaged lumbar support hose.
- Damaged lumbar support switch and valve.
Electrical
- Open Door Lock/Seat Motor 20 A circuit breaker in power distribution box.
- Loose, corroded or damaged connectors.
- Damaged switches.
- Damaged motors.
3. If inspection reveals an obvious concern that is readily serviceable, correct the concern before continuing with Inspection and Verification.
4. If a concerns remain after the inspection, determine the symptoms and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
