No Anti-lock Brake Indicator During Crank or Self-TestG1 - Check Ignition Feed And Fuse
- Disconnect instrument cluster connector C250 (conventional cluster) or Warning Lamp Module connector C2004 (electronic cluster).
- Turn ignition switch to "RUN".
- Using a voltmeter, measure voltage at connector pins C250-9 (conventional cluster) or Pin C2004-3 Warning lamp module) Circuit 603 (DG).
- Is B+ (battery voltage) present ?
YES - Go to G2.
NO - Service Circuit 603 (DG), 640 (R/Y) or Fuse 13 (15A).
G2 - Check Warning Indicator Bulb
- Remove warning indicator bulb.
- Using an ohmmeter, check warning indicator bulb for resistance.
- Is resistance 5 ohms or less ?
YES - Go to G3.
NO - Replace Bulb. Restore vehicle. Retest System.
G3 - Check Circuit 603 (DG)
- Disconnect the Anti-lock Brake Control Module.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance of circuit 603 (DG) between warning lamp socket and pin C162-21 at ABS control module.
- Is resistance 5 ohms or less ?
YES - Go to G4.
NO - Service Circuit 603 (DG) for an open circuit. Restore vehicle. Retest System.
G4 - Check ABS Control Module
- Leave ABS Control module disconnected.
- Connect instrument cluster connector C250-2 (conventional cluster) or Warning Lamp Module connector C2004 (electronic cluster).
- Observe anti-lock warning indicator while turning the ignition switch to the "RUN" position.
- Did The ABS Warning Indicator illuminate ?
YES - Replace the Anti-lock brake control module. Restore vehicle. Retest System.
NO - Restore vehicle. Re-Verify Symptom.
