Engine Code and Calibration Label

DESCRIPTION
Engine parts often differ within a safety certification label family. Verification of identification codes will make sure that the proper parts are obtained. It is imperative that the engine codes and the calibration number be used when ordering parts or making inquiries about the engine. These codes contain all pertinent information relating to the following:
^ dates.
^ optional equipment.
^ revisions.

The emission calibration label is located on the radiator sight shield. These numbers are used to determine if parts are unique to specific engines. Always refer to this label when replacement parts are required or when checking engine calibrations. It identifies the following:
^ Engine calibration number.
^ Engine code number.
^ Revision level.

EMISSION CALIBRATION NUMBER LABEL





The emission calibration number label is located on the driver door post pillar. These numbers are used to determine if parts are unique to specific engines. Always refer to this label when replacement parts are required or when checking engine calibrations. It identifies the following:
^ Engine calibration number.
^ Engine code number.
^ Revision level.

VEHICLE CERTIFICATION LABEL (VCI)





The vehicle certification label, mounted on the LH front door lock face panel, provides the following information:
^ Date of Manufacture.
^ Engine code (letter or number) used to determine the engine type and size (8th digit of the VIN).

9 .... 4.6 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
