Shift Linkage: Adjustments

NOTE: Transmission control linkage adjustments should be performed in the order in which they appear.

1. Place transmission range selector lever in D position. A weight of 1.4 kg (3 lb) should be hung on the transmission range selector lever to ensure the lever is located firmly on the D detent. Loosen shift cable retaining nut at manual control lever lever.
2. Move manual control lever to D position, second detent from most forward position.
3. Tighten shift cable retaining nut at manual control lever to 13-25 Nm (10-18 ft. lbs.).
4. Check operation of transmission in each transmission range. Make sure that park mechanism and transmission range (TR) sensor are functioning properly.
