Disc Brakes
NOTE:Wheel bearing and wheel hub are not serviced separately and must be replaced as an assembly.
REMOVAL
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove rear disc brake caliper and rear disc brake rotor. See Brakes and Traction Control.
4. Remove rear axle wheel hub retainer.
CAUTION: Do not use impact wrench to loosen rear axle wheel hub retainer or damage to rear axle wheel hub retainer will result.
5. Remove wheel hub.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Do not use impact wrench to tighten rear axle wheel hub retainer or damage to rear wheel spindle and/or wheel hub will result.
1. Install wheel hub and rear axle wheel hub retainer. Tighten rear axle wheel hub retainer to 230-260 Nm (170-192 ft. lbs.).
2. Install rear disc brake rotor and rear disc brake caliper. See Brakes and Traction Control.
3. Install wheel and tire assembly. Tighten lug nut to 85 Nm (62 ft. lbs.).
